Kauai Beach Villas

Glad to be back at our "home away from home"!
Big change this year!  We were in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath lagoon view unit this year.  All the 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom/2 bath units either face the lagoon or the ocean.
 Nice big master bathroom.
 roomy livingroom.
I like that the living area is open to the kitchen and diningroom.
 looking down from our unit.

We could comfortably stay here a long time!

We did the "owner update/sales" meeting.  This time Dad went with us.

He surprised us by saying he'd buy us a 2 bedroom/2 bath EOY week in even years if we didn't mind him joining us.  Not a problem with us!!!!

So this started our buying of more KBV weeks.  In 2004 we ended up buying another 1 bedroom/1 bath week off Ebay or some such site.  Then in 2006 we bought another 2 bedroom/ 2 bath to match the one Dad got us.

(in 2026, our beautiful resort shut down!  Apparently it was built by a shoddy builder and some of the units became condemned, especially in the 3 ocean front buildings.  Most of those units were owned by residents, so the closing and bankruptcy fight was drawn out for a .couple years.  Since we converted our 4 EOY weeks to Wyndham, I thought it wouldn't affect us, but it did.  At first they said KBV didn't "allow" us to "swap" our points to Wyndham Club Pass (the collection of Wyndham resorts that averages out the maintenance fees for).  But after a 3 or 4 months, they said KBV was going to allow it.  Several other Wyndham resorts also closed in 2025 and they were all allowed to swap, so we were told KBV would be done after those were completed.  As of July 2026, we're still waiting for the swap.  Which is why I have the contracts here of 3 of the 4 resorts (Wyndham asked for the unit # and week # to help speed things up).  Don't know what happened to the one from this trip in 2003 that Dad bought for us.  The option is to swap, or let it drop and just have our Bali Hai EOY week that we had to buy in order to do the conversion back in 2009.  With our VIP status with all the KBV points (and Bali Hai), I decided to try and do the swap and keep getting our great VIP deals---35% off points at 60 days out and free upgrades at 45 days.  They even messed up for about 15 years and had us as Platinum VIP which gave us 50% points off at 60 days and free upgrades at 60 days.  We used it a LOT and got some GREAT deals (like a studio upgrade to 3 bedroom presidential at St. Thomas Margaritaville!!!)

Now in 2026, our KBV is gone!  Loved our stays there!!!!)
