2010-2-20  moving day:

We flew out a day before our Wyndham KBV stay started in order to redeem air miles to fly free.  So
since we were checking out of Kapaa Shores already and waiting around for our 4pm check in to Wyndham Kauai Beach Villas, we pretty much stuck around the EAst side most of the day.
I read that there was a farmers market in Lihue today, so after loading up the car with all our luggage, we were off to the farmers market.  It was at the community college.  Always love this view into the college grounds!
One of the highlights at the market for me was a demonstration put on by some culinary school students from the college. Here they made and gave out samples of a ginger cookie with carmalized pineapple on top of it and a rum sauce and whipped cream garnish with piped crispy lattice cookie on top.
It was very good and the students were interesting to chat with.

Then we headed back up the East side, stopping at the walking/biking path along the ocean.  Wandered around there for a bit.
Almost ran into this guy while walking along the trail.
We continued north---always love this view!
Stopped at the Kilauea lighthouse overlook.  It was as beautiful as ever!

Also love this view of Anini from Kilauea.
Headed on down to Anini and checked it out.
Looked like a good day to be snorkeling, but we were still recovering from our long trip the day before and didn't want to leave our luggage alone in the car for very long.
We were finally able to check into our condo about 4 pm.  We had a room with a fantastic ocean view!  Noticed there was a wedding going on at the beach by our resort.
All checked in and unpacked, we decided to go in search of our first sunset of this trip.  So we headed South.
Sunset wasn't the greatest, but we enjoyed checking it out anyway.

Made it a little inconvenient having to move on our first day, but flying free made it worthwhile!  Still not a bad way to start off our Kauai vacation!
