Maha'ulepu Beach:

Maha'ulepu is a two mile trip from the end of Poipu Road on a dirt cane field road to the main cane haul road intersection and then turn right.  Beach access closes at 6pm.  Or you can get to it by walking along the Makawehi Lithified Cliffs East of Shipwreck rock by the Hyatt---a popular and very scenic walk.  I don't really consider this a snorkel beach, but we were able to snorkel here once, so I'm including our sad pictures of that snorkel.  It is a very beautiful beach and the cliffs are a beautiful walk.  Usually when we were here it's very windy and rough---great for windsurfers, not snorkeling, but it's still worth a look.

 Where we entered

not much but sand
 and a few convict tangs

 and some rocks
but it was fun checking out a place we had never been able to snorkel before.
view of some of the cliffs
Once we even ran into this fellow. (taken with my 200mm zoom lens)
