FEb. 4, 2014---hanging out on the east side until our flight: DAy 18-
We went to The Beach Walk for breakfast again. I had the cream cheese stuffed Hawaiian bread french toast. It was very good!
Then we walked along the beach at Lydgate park for a while.
We
like to look for whales by the lighthouse by the airport, so we hung
out there for an hour or so. Saw lots of spouting, but no breaching.
Just some random shots with the beautiful clouds and palm trees.
And open land.
The Aloha sign by the airport. Too bad we were saying Mahalo!
The
end to another fantastic Kauai vacation! All in all, the weather was
outstanding---only 1 day where we had rain all day. Snorkeling was as
great as always, even though we were only able to go to Tunnels 1 day
due to the surf and didn't get to snorkel Kee. We were surprised to see
all the solar panels and food trucks. We haven't been here in 2 years
and it seems like there were more changes in those 2 years than in the
whole 10 years before that. We had our first North shore stay and
enjoyed it, albeit only 3 days. Traffic seemed better with the added
lanes in Lihue. Time went way too quickly!!! I'm already missing the
singing birds and the colorful flowers (and fishies), not to mention the
100 shades of green! I'm working very hard on getting our trips
extended to at least a month! Until then---Mahalo!
